Our CEO and founder, Tarik Malak, has been at it for quite a while now.
A huge amount of experience working in advertising under his belt, Malak has been for the last several years a serial entrepreneur.
Tarik worked with several Parisian boutique advertising agencies where he was actively involved in both creative and strategic roles. He moved to New York City in 2006 and co-founded La Boutique, a successful, high-end retouching studio for the fashion and beauty industry. In tandem with running the studio, Tarik became a startup investor in the internet space. Recognizing the digital shift in his own market, in 2010 Tarik sold his equity in La Boutique and founded the full-service creative and strategic agency SWELL, where he serves as Chief Executive Officer.

Tim Douglas, head of our motion department, is a widely respected member of the editing community. Having honed his chops in production houses in the UK and South Korea, his international reach is strong. Johnny Misheff is our communications and trend forecasting man. He can be seen around town at a slew of various parties, most notably at fashion and art fetes. His experience with creatives is well documented and he counts many internationally renown musicians, artists, fashion designers and more as close friends, allowing him to keep his finger securely on the cultural pulse.

Our DOP, Mike Leonhard is street smart, cunning and if you dropped him in the middle of the jungle, not only would he find his way unscathed, he’d have hours of gorgeous video to boot. We’ve seen him in photographer pits 50 strong outside fashion shows, emerging victorious with stunning footage. He’ll always figure it out.

Tom Arsenault is an accomplished sound editor and musician, who has been moonlighting as the exclusive composer for Merce Cunningham performers Rashaun Mitchell and Silas Reiner. Arsenault has a serious rolodex in the music industry here in New York and well beyond, and his knowledge of the next-big-things is extremely valuable.
